THANK YOU RIVERSIDE FOR BEING AMAZING!
There are activities for everyone to get involved in. The whole Junior High, staff included, are invited to dress up as their favourite book character. Will you be a bookish Hermione Granger, a monster-busting Percy Jackson or just a Wimpy Kid? There will be prizes for the best costumes so get creative. Plus there will be a photo booth for you to show off your amazing booky poses.
The World Book Day theme will continue in your tutor groups. There will be a writing competition where you will come together as a class to each add a line to a story. There will be a prize for the tutor group that produces the best story.
And as if that isn’t enough, at lunchtime and straight after school there will be an Escape Room taking place in the library. Please remember to sign up in order to take part as there are a limited number of places available.
About World Book Day
This is the 22nd year of World Book Day. The goal of World Book Day is to provide a book for every child around the world, by raising money and issuing book vouchers for school children. But it is also a day of fun, a celebration of reading, writing and illustrating.
